- 10th Singapore Guitar Festival Solo Classical Distinguished Award
- Certified Yamaha Grade Examiner for Grade 9 to 6
- Certified ensemble guitar teacher with MOE
- Many of Mr Tan's Grade 8 students have scored Distinction in ABRSM practical examination and one was selected to perform in ABRSM High Scorer's Concert.
